LTC Description:

The Indiana LTC enhances partner mission readiness in linguistic, cultural, and transcultural competencies. IU is home to 11 federally funded Title VI centers, 18 diverse programs in area studies, languages, and cultures, and regularly offers over 70 languages, giving IU’s LTC an unparalleled ability to draw from cultural and language expertise to serve our military partners.

Indiana University (IU) delivers initial acquisition (ILR 0) to superior (ILR 3) language and culture training for active duty military and reserve personnel with DoD partners at the 3rd, 7th, and 10th Special Forces Groups, the 95th Civil Affairs Battalion, and the SPP units of the Indiana National Guard. On site synchronous courses are offered in Chinese, French, Spanish, Urdu, Pashto, Dari,  Korean, Russian, and Slovak. Attendance in on site courses requires coordination with unit CLPMs.

The Indiana LTC also offers synchronous online French courses to the Indiana National Guard SPP program. These are survival French courses. To enroll in these courses please contact Mr. Nate Lanaghan ([email protected]).

REC modules on Central and Eastern Europe created for V Corps and the National Guard are available to all DoD personnel on IU Expand.
